New Hire Announcement: Nate Martinez, Local Government Affairs Manager

We welcome Nate Martinez as the Local Government Affairs Manager for Comcast Mountain West Region—Utah and Idaho!

He started his role on March 24 and reports to me and works closely with his peer Ioana Platon, Community Impact Manager.

Nate brings a wealth of experience in government affairs, policy development, and economic planning. Most recently, he served as Director of Operations & Policy at the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce, where he played a key role in advocating for Southern Utah businesses, developing public-private partnerships, and coordinating civic engagement initiatives.

His previous experience as an Economic Development Planner at the Five County Association of Governments further strengthened his expertise in economic impact analysis, disaster recovery planning, and workforce development.

Nate holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University and a Certificate in Economic Development from Utah Valley University. He is also a Utah Rural Leadership Academy graduate, a prestigious program nominated by the Utah Governor’s Office.

In his new role, Nate will partner on Comcast’s local government affairs efforts, fostering relationships with elected officials and community leaders and advancing initiatives that support connectivity, economic growth, and digital opportunity across the region.
