Celebrating Ioana Platon’s Well-Deserved Promotion to External Affairs Manager

Ioana Platon, Manager of Community Investments, Comcast's Mountain West Region

I am pleased to announce Ioana Platon’s promotion to External Affairs Manager for Comcast Mountain West Region—Utah & Idaho. She began her role on June 7 and will continue to report to me and work closely with her peer Joseph Silverzweig, local government affairs manager.

Ioana’s journey with Comcast began in July 2013 when she joined as an administrative assistant and office manager for Comcast’s Payment Services Department. Ioana’s commitment to personal growth and development was evident as she quickly established herself as a reliable, detail-oriented professional who is a pleasure to work with.

In her time at Comcast, Ioana has continuously demonstrated her dedication and versatility. After excelling in her initial role, she transitioned to the position of Community Impact Specialist 3 in 2017. In this capacity, Ioana embraced the challenge of social impact work, collaborating with over 80 nonprofit partners in Utah. Her efforts were instrumental in launching 39 WiFi-connected community spaces known as Comcast Lift Zones. Additionally, Ioana took on increasing responsibilities, helping to support the Comcast Foundation grant process, coordinating Team Up employee volunteerism projects, and much more.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Utah and is currently pursuing a data analytics certification.

Outside of work, Ioana is an avid marathon runner who enjoys spending quality time with her family and her beloved dog, Ash.

Ioana’s promotion is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and positive impact at Comcast. Please join us in congratulating Ioana Platon on this much-deserved advancement in her career. We look forward to seeing her continue to thrive and drive our external affairs initiatives to new heights.

Congratulations, Ioana!
