Increasing Technology Access & Expanding Digital Skills
We have a longstanding commitment to advancing digital opportunity, closing the digital divide, and addressing both digital literacy and the homework gap.
In today’s digital age, technology is the primary conduit to economic opportunity, and it is vital to how we work, play, learn, and connect with one another. Driven by this knowledge, in early 2021 we announced we will invest $1 billion over the next 10 years to reach 50 million low-income Americans with tools and resources to succeed in the digital world, including tens of thousands of low-income Utahns.
We focus on addressing digital inequities in under-resourced communities through our Internet Essentials program, Lift Zone initiative and support of local digital literacy training and skills building programs. We support programs that increase competency and confidence in technology, spark interest in technology careers, and help entrepreneurs build upon technology skills to launch and grow their businesses.
Volunteerism & Leadership
Since our founding, Comcast has prioritized giving back to our local communities.
Our employees serve, give, and grow all year long as part of our always-on volunteerism and employee engagement program, Team UP.
Storytelling Platform
We have a unique ability to leverage our far-reaching storytelling platforms to educate our audiences and ignite conversations about critical issues shaping the world. We work with our community partners to donate video production services and airtime to help tell their important stories and reach people who can benefit and help support their programs.
