Utah STEM Bus Ribbon Cutting
Comcast participated in the STEM bus ribbon cutting ceremony at the Utah State Capitol on August 16. With the help of a robot, Governor Gary R. Herbert and STEM industry leaders cut the ribbon unveiling the new bus.
The Utah STEM Bus travels to schools and other organizations across the state to provide hands-on, real world, project based learning to generate a passion for STEM careers in youth and support the Governor’s initiative for a STEM competitive workforce in Utah.
Through the mobile bus program, the STEM Action center and corporate supporters, including Comcast, look forward to reaching out to geographical areas that have limited STEM-related opportunities, as well as working with local non-profit organizations and schools to offer STEM-related projects that will inspire career education and opportunities for students.
