More Than Connectivity: Comcast and Partners Honor Airmen + Families in Utah

Comcast, the Sportsman Channel, The Boyer Group, and Hill Air Force Base came together for a special Hunt, Fish, Feed event to honor and serve Airmen and their families.

On Friday, September 12, Comcast, the Sportsman Channel, The Boyer Group, and Hill Air Force Base came together for a special Hunt, Fish, Feed event to honor and serve Airmen and their families.

“Hosting this event is a reminder that behind every mission are families and communities who stand together,” said Col. Daniel L. Cornelius, Commander of the 75th Air Base Wing. “We are grateful for the generosity of our partners who made this possible.”

Comcast, the Sportsman Channel, The Boyer Group, and Hill Air Force Base came together for a special Hunt, Fish, Feed event to honor and serve Airmen and their families.

Families gathered not only to share a meal but also to spend meaningful time together, surrounded by neighbors. For many airmen, this event was a chance to step away from daily demands, enjoy a welcoming space with loved ones, and feel the support of the broader Utah community.

For Comcast, supporting military families is a company-wide priority. “It is humbling to serve those who sacrifice so much for all of us,” said Mona Dexter, VP, Military & Veteran Affairs at Comcast NBCUniversal. “Through events like this, we are reminded that small gestures of care can make a meaningful difference.”

Daniel Arevalo, Senior Airman for the United States Air Force, 88th Maintenance Group

“A big shout out to Comcast. I want to thank them so much for sponsoring this and coming out and making this event happen for us and really means a lot to be served as well,” said Daniel Arevalo, Senior Airman for the United States Air Force, 88th Maintenance Group. “Comcast is valuable to my family. We homeschool our kids, so my kids are able to jump on the internet to attend virtual school every single day. Whenever they’re done with school, they jump on their video games, they’ll jump on the TV. And so, the connection that Comcast has here with the military base with Bowyer Hill has been amazing.”

The Sportsman Channel has been a longtime driver of Hunt, Fish, Feed. Jeff Brown, Director of Affiliate Sales/Distribution and Marketing reflected: “Our mission is about more than outdoor traditions—it’s about giving back. Bringing people together at Hill Air Force Base to share a meal is an honor we deeply value.”

Community and business partners echoed the same gratitude.

Danny Davis, President of The Boyer Company and Boyer Hill Military Housing, added: “Serving military families through housing and through moments like this is the heart of what we do. This event was a chance to say thank you.”

Local leaders joined in support.

Becky Guertler, Executive Director, Utah Veteran Business Resource Center: At VBRC, we see every day how strong communities empower military families. Events like Hunt, Fish, and Feed show Airmen and their loved ones that they are surrounded by support, gratitude, and opportunity. It was inspiring to witness families come together, enjoy themselves, and feel celebrated.

Clearfield City Mayor Mark Shepherd expressed: “Our city is proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the families of Hill Air Force Base. Today was about service, gratitude, and community.”

Fruit Heights Mayor John Pohlman added: “Events like this show the power of partnership in honoring those who protect our freedom. We are humbled to be part of it.”

At Comcast and the Sportsman Channel, it is our privilege to serve those who serve our nation. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Airmen, their families, and our community partners who joined us to make Hunt, Fish, Feed at Hill Air Force Base a success.
