Join Us at the Eagle Mountain City Digital Connectivity Community Resource Fair
We’re excited to announce the first Digital Connectivity Community Resource Fair, in partnership with the Eagle Mountain Chamber, on Friday, Sept. 22, at Frontier Middle School, 1427 Mid Valley Road in Eagle Mountain. Running from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Navigating technology has become increasingly vital and can open doors to countless opportunities. Access to technology supports expanding education opportunities, creating career pathways, and staying connected with people who matter the most.
“Giving our residents a convenient way to learn about new digital services and other key information from several organizations is vital. All of these organizations improve the quality of life for our residents and businesses.”
Melissa Clark, President and CEO of Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce.
Net Positive, a program that teaches Utah students and parents to use the internet safely, will provide onsite digital literacy training classes at the fair to equip folks with the skills needed to navigate the digital landscape effectively.
“The Comcast Foundation is funding $30,000 to partner with the Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce and the Library to launch a robust Digital Navigator’s program. The program’s design helps to increase adoption and digital skills for the aging population.”
Deneiva Knight, External Affairs Director, Comcast Mountain West Region.
The fair will feature booths from the Fire Department Business to Student Safety, Sheriff’s Department, Texas Instruments, Meta, Communities that Care, and Tabatha’s Way.
The community fair will also provide food, prizes, and giveaways.
