Working to keep you connected.

Comcast employee

As a result of vandalism, some Comcast customers in the Salt Lake area were without services yesterday afternoon and overnight. Due to redundancy in our network, all services were restored by early morning.

Now more than ever, we understand the importance of being connected. Whether working remotely or distance learning, our communities rely on reliable connections.

Our goal is to keep customers connected. To do so, our teams work 24/7 year-round to monitor, plan and prepare for potential events that could impact the network, including commercial power outages and natural disasters like wildfires and earthquakes. We take steps to ensure our systems, networks, and operations centers are resilient and redundant and work closely with local power crews.

To check for local outages, customers may visit the Outage Status Center. To see the status of your home network and services, visit My Account online or use the My Account app. If you have an Xfinity Gateway, you can also use the xFi app. If you’re concerned about wires in your area, report an issue online. If services aren’t working in your home, text the word OUTAGE to 266-278 and follow the prompts to receive SMS updates on when it will be restored.
