Nelson Duckett Appointed as New Area Vice President for Comcast Utah

Nelson Duckett appointed to serve as Area Vice President for Comcast Utah, part of the Mountain West Region, which includes Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.

As Comcast enters into 2020 with a laser-like focus on giving customers unprecedented access and control over one of the most important technologies in their lives, Nelson Duckett will be at the helm, leading the company’s technical operations across all of Utah. He’ll be working to streamline processes and create consistency, with a strong focus on improving the customer experience.

Nelson has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and impressive technical background. He most recently served as the director of technical operations for Comcast California.

“With his field operations background and a strong focus on the employee experience, I am confident Nelson will be successful in his new role,” said Chris Weeks, Comcast West Region Vice President of Field Operations.

Nelson will relocate to Utah in February and looks forward to hiking Utah trails and photographing Utah’s unique landscape.

Hiking is a passion. (Laughing) You will not see me run or get on a treadmill, but I love nature! Most of my weekends will be consumed with exploring Utah’s hiking trails. I also enjoy photography and reading.

This book is very significant to me in my world of technical operations. The premise of the book is to discover your why—what’s your routine and what can you do differently in order to achieve a different outcome?

This is Us (NBC). I love this show because it highlights family, struggle—it’s super relatable.

Favorite Activity You Recently Participated In

I went to a Jazz game and had a fantastic experience—the fans are amazing, and the arena was so fun. I also visited the beautiful Park City and now understand why visitors from all over the world travel there.
