Known as the “Sport of Kings,” today marks one of the most exciting days in horse racing. The last leg of the “Triple Crown,” this year’s running of the 146th Belmont Stakes in Elmont, New York, may bring the first winner of the Triple Crown since 1978 with California Chrome. Trainer Art Sherman and Jockey Victor Espinoza hope to make horse racing history by winning this year’s Belmont Stakes, after having won the Preakness and the Kentucky Derby, the first two legs of the Triple Crown.
