Comcast Newsmakers on the Hill: Interviews with Utah’s lawmakers
Utahns, did you know that if you use public transit, a new legislative bill could make you eligible for a tax credit in the near future? And did you know that Utah lawmakers are debating whether or not to include the phrase “In God We Trust” on Utah license plates?
Here in Utah, Comcast is bringing you exclusive weekly interviews with your state legislators on “Newsmakers on the Hill.” Host Alexis Cairo sits down with lawmakers every week through the legislative session on location at the Utah State Capitol to discuss bills and other hot-button issues including Utah’s air quality, education, liquor licenses, and adoption laws.
Best of all, you can watch all of the interviews for free! Find them posted every Friday on our Facebook page and at ComcastNewsmakers.com. Then the following Monday, you can see them on Xfinity On Demand or on CNN Headline News on Comcast’s channel 42. Also, catch up on past airings with more than 20 guests, including Governor Gary Herbert, Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell, Speaker of the House Rebecca Lockhart and Senate President Wayne Niederhauser.
And although Utah’s legislative session ends in March, Comcast Newsmakers will continue to keep you informed on local issues and events with monthly interviews from leaders in your community throughout the year. Past guests include city mayors and organizations such as the Natural History Museum of Utah, Salt Lake City’s Downtown Alliance and the Salt Lake Film Society.
