United Way of Salt Lake Names Comcast Outstanding Corporate Partner of the Year

Giving back to the community has been a priority for Comcast since the company was founded in 1963.  Our founder, Ralph J. Roberts, knew instinctively that supporting organizations that help heal our communities was the right thing to do. Giving back is at the core of our identity as a company.

That’s why we were particularly honored that the United Way of Salt Lake named Comcast their Outstanding Corporate Partner of the year at their annual Celebration of Service luncheon last week. The award recognizes organizations that have an unwavering dedication to the community, and Comcast was recognized for our commitment to United Way throughout the years, and our 2011-2012 employee giving campaign.

Comcast Regional Vice President Rodrigo Lopez accepted the award on behalf of Comcast, and underscored our company’s commitment to the United Way. You can read more about the awards on United Way’s website here.
